How to Plan 1 Week in St. Lucia
St. Lucia is a very popular destination for honeymoons or anniversary trips. Keep reading to learn all you need to know about planning 1 week in St. Lucia, including a sample 1 week itinerary, St. Lucia tours, and the best time to travel to St. Lucia.

Sample 1 Week St. Lucia Itinerary
I have created many St. Lucia honeymoon packages or romantic getaway trips for clients, including flights, airport transportation, resort stay, tours, and travel insurance. Below is a package that included one of the top all inclusive resorts in St. Lucia, Sandals Grande St. Lucian.
Arrival Day
After your 3.5-4.5 nonstop flight from the East coast (based on flights out of MIA, ATL, or CLT), you will arrive at Hewanorra International Airport (UVF). Once you go through customs/immigration and collect your luggage, you will take a helicopter transfer to your St. Lucia resort. Enjoy a bite to eat and the resort activities for the remainder of this day.
Common question: How far is Sandals St. Lucia from the airport?
Answer: All three Sandals Resorts in St. Lucia are about 1.5 hours from the airport on winding roads. Dramamine is recommended for those who have a tendency for car sickness.
Day 2
Spend a relaxing day at your all-inclusive resort and discover all that the resort has to offer, including spa services, water sports, land activities, and multiple dining options.
Day 3
Enjoy a full day exploring the beautiful island of St. Lucia on the Wet & Wild Experience St. Lucia tour. Don't worry, it's not too wild, but it is a great way to see as much as you can in one day and have fun while doing it. You start with a catamaran cruise to Soufriere, have a photo op of the majestic Pitons, then hop into your 2 or 4-seater buggy that you get to drive for the day (no maps or directions needed, your tour guide will show you the way). During this tour, you will get to enjoy a relaxing St. Lucia mud bath at the Sulphur Springs, walk on a black sand beach, visit the beautiful Toraille Waterfall, snorkel above a reef, and finish the day watching the sunset on your catamaran sail before heading back to the resort.
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this experience!
Day 4
Enjoy another relaxing day at your resort. By staying at a Sandals St. Lucia resort, you actually have access to all three, so you can choose to visit one of the other two resorts as well.
Common question: What is the distance between Sandals resorts in St. Lucia?
Answer: The distance between Sandals Regency La Toc and Sandals Halcyon is about 15 minutes depending on traffic. Then it is another 15 minutes from Sandals Halcyon to Sandals Grande St. Lucian.
Day 5
Spend your first half of the day on the water on the Deep Sea Sport Fishing St. Lucia tour. Not a fan of fishing? No worries, there are plenty of other St. Lucia tours to choose from. Check out a few popular tours below.
Day 6
For a low-cost activity, check out Pigeon Island National Park, located next to Sandals Grande St. Lucian Resort. Hike to the top for some amazing views and enjoy a bit of history along the way.
Day 7
Enjoy your last full day at the resort. If your last night falls on a Friday, head to Gros Islet for the Friday Night Fish fry and mingle with the locals, enjoy music and delicious eats!
St. Lucia Tours
There is a lot to do and see in St. Lucia. I can help you decide which St. Lucia tours to book based on your specific interests, but here are a few of the most popular:
If you're interested in a St. Lucia catamaran snorkel & sail tour, Joe Knows St. Lucia offers popular tour options or you can pilot your own speedboat with St. Lucia Speedboat and Power Snorkel.
If you're interested in a St. Lucia Pitons tour and enjoy hiking, the Gros Piton Hike is one you will definitely want to do!
If you're a thrill-seeker and want to zip through the trees in a beautiful rainforest, the Treetop Zip Trip is a tour you should add to your itinerary.

For something unique and personally rewarding, participate in the Reading Road Trip where you get to visit with children at a local school.
There are plenty of other St. Lucia tours and activities. Contact me to help you customize your itinerary to fit your specific interests!
Best Time to Travel to St. Lucia
The best time to travel to St. Lucia is between December-April when it's the dry season. However, for the shoulder season (November and May) may bring lower prices and less crowds. St. Lucia can be impacted by the hurricane season (June-October), so if you decide to travel during this time, make sure you have a good travel insurance policy (although travel insurance is highly recommended anytime you travel!)
